Policy for exams: If you have any special needs/circumstances pertaining to an exam, you must talk to the instructor before the exam.
Policy for assignments: Assignments are to be handed in in class, or in the main office of the CMPSCI building by 4:00 PM on the due date. Each student will be allowed two one-lecture extensions without penalty (at most one extension may be used per assignment). If you don't use a free extension, you may still hand in assignments up to one lecture late with a penalty of 20%. Assignments will not be accepted later without the express permission of the instructor.
Regrade policy: Homework assignments and tests will be returned in class. If you think a grading error was made on an assignment or test, or if you do not get the assignment or test handed back to you, you must talk to the TA or the instructor within a week of when it was handed back.
Academic honesty policy: You are encouraged to discuss the course material with your classmates. You may discuss the concepts related to your assignments with other students, as long as you acknowledge them in your assignment. All writing and coding must be done on your own. Sharing or copying solutions is unacceptable and could result in failure.
